My First Fight
« on: June 12, 2009, 04:39:54 PM »
Well i've got my first professional (not professional, but in the cage with spectators) fight coming up in a week and I have been cutting weight and staying in the gym and im pretty nervous about losing but after 2 years of Jiu Jitsu and a year of Muay Thai, i think i will be ok.  The fights in Athens Georgia at the Georgia Fight Club.  I have a pretty good gameplan in my head and ill be listening to my corner of Chet Blalock.

Just wondering if any of you guys do MMA or anything of that sort.  I remember not to long ago DT talking about he does some of this stuff.

EDIT: I'm Fighting Welterweight

Bring a paintball gun!! or just brass knuckles, but really best tip is training, if you can dodge a machete you can dodge a fist.

Well i wouldnt want to fight dirty or else i wouldnt be invited back to fight again.. and they pat you down at ringside to make sure you hae no weapons... But as far as it being recorded, i dont know.. im sure someone will record it.. just would take forever for me to find it

Get really skinny to get pointy elbows. Then you'll start dishing out some hurt. ;D

Ok, So i won the fight by referee stoppage (TKO) in the first round with 1:18 left on the clock.  It was 3, five minute rounds.  Basically i hit him with a punch to the chin it made him stumble so i made my move and took him to the ground.  It was all over from there.
