What is Most Important to Work on?

I'm just curious what people feel is most (or least) important on a high level.

We need more players right now badly. Then the catching and banning cheaters should follow right after that.

More people in the clanscene/on mIRC. Followed by catching and banning cheaters.

more people, there used to be tons of newbies in the pubs, but they've dwindled down. I think its because there is no retaining factor other than clans.

punkbuster. or some auto-ban for the cheat detection.

If I had to put those in order:
1. Improved media (better textures, sounds, models, etc.)
2. New features.
3. Bug fixes.
4. Performance (higher FPS).
5. Catching and banning cheaters.
6. Drawing and retaining more new players (improved accessibility, etc).
7. Other.

My reasoning is as follows...
Make the game better...THEN...draw more/new players.
If you create a massive draw campaign right now you will be drawing new players into an old media, old features, buggy, low fps system. The sustainability will be lower than if you did those things to improve the game FIRST...THEN enacted a campaign to draw in new players.

I agree with S8N and voted for performance, as the engine really needs some restructuring before it is stable enough for more players and new features.

edit: I just sort of supposed that optimisation and removal of redundant stuff went into 'performance'

Who cares how many players are here? We have a solid pub and matching community. I want to see all the cheaters GONE, and I would love to see them go with improved detections for modified maps and speed cheats.

I'm stuck between banning players and getting new players.  Banning players would stop pissing this whole community off, as you see sometimes when someone does newbies get quite frustrated and leave, but then on the other hand when I tried to make a profile for myself I was pretty much clueless after the website as it has (had?) no direct instructions on what to do.  When you get players on IRC they tend to have created an account, but don't know what to do ingame when they open it.

I agree. The players we do have are basically long term players. As far as accessibility goes it is kind of a pain in the ass, but honestly most people interested in playing a q2 standalone mod are going to be savvy enough to figure it out. I rank catching and banning cheaters number one. In my opinion that would be the best way to improve the game.

This order might have been said before:

1. Catching and banning cheaters.
2. Improved media (better textures, sounds, models, etc.)
3. Drawing and retaining more new players (improved accessibility, etc).
4. Performance (higher FPS).
5. New features.
6. Bug fixes.
7. Other.

Ban the cheaters, work on improving the game before attracting more players.
