Inspired by gauntlet by kaos, here's 'G2'

Two Flags - total of 9 capture points

Spawn With: Carbine, chrome barrel, 200 ammo + hopper, Loaded 12oz CO2 and Unloaded 20oz CO2

I agree as well. This map reminds me of Carpathian though. It looks really simple (style-wise), but looks like the perfect candidate for a new pub map. (yay)

I personally don´t like this one.Looks too poor and definitely needs more chaos.

Adding more chaos just makes paths you'll go never seeing anyone, or things to hide behind. That adds nothing to the gameplay of the map. RiMiNi probably wanted to have the focus of this map on gameplay rather then terrain or overall look of the map. Alot of maps look good, or have all this chaos but play really bad.

So it'll be nice to see how it plays, see if you can get it on supermans pub

Just played it on super's pub, quite campable, gotta get used to this kind of jumps. I like its bit plain design, you might add some plants, though.

I really hope you asked for permission, I know kaos was thinking about redoing it himself, Other then that the map look good, i jumped around a few times, just like in gauntlet its hard to grab that darn second with the speed jump, lol

edit- The map is total conversion for kaos's nothing looks the same so id say he wouldn't mind.

@Robbie - Inspired. It is not intended to be a remake just the map's style/idea was taken from gauntlet. And kaos knew i was making this anyways.

@Gama - yeah, I already compiled it when i realized I fogot to add plants and didn't feel like compiling it again so next beta ^^

@All - Also a few people missed this, there is a noob friendly path to 2 flag to the right of main, kind of tucked away, easy for grabbing 2. =]

Is there any link/mapfile of Gauntlet? I'd like to see that map to see the similarities and differences. And G2 stands for Gauntlet 2 right?

i do, but i am sure kaos doesnt want this map out with its many mistakes and the r_speeds are killer, You can see the remake kaos does if he ever gets to it

It's really nice map, but when 90% of dp maps are grass and cliffs it's really hard to find something unique to looks of the map. Maybe some broken bunkers, more bent metal, like the one on the ground. Some filler, it's empty.
I don't know about the gameplay, i've only ran around in it.

The "noob friendly" path to 2 is way too easy

Make a doublejump to a higher level or smething like that...A couple of mad newbs won't hurt anyone I think.
