Windows sound card drivers... woo....

I've just wiped my hard drive and done a clean install of windows on it, and I've got no sound 
I know i need a sound card driver, but my computer is a golden electronics computer (don't think they exist anymore) and I dont have a clue what sound card it uses. I'm pretty sure its a realtek one, but can't be 100%.

There's no icon in the system tray for sound, either.

turns out it was a c-media one, and the drivers were on one of the thousands of installation cds that came with the computer (the one with the motherboard drivers and utilities on it).
