Send to directory app?
« on: January 28, 2010, 10:35:23 PM »
I was about to write this myself, but then I thought surely somebody else has thought of this and written one.

I'm sorting through files, and I want to be able to right cilck->send to->[some magical app].  When that app opens up, it will allow me to quickly select from a number of destination directories I've used recently, or specify a new one.  Anybody know of such a program?

Edit: Well, this sort of does what I need: http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=230 - would be nice to have a quick select list of recently used directories, but it's better than having tons of explorer windows open.

I remember I used to have tweaks to the right click option, one being the 'send to' command... I can't remember though, it might be one of Microsoft's Powertoys. Or there's an application called tweakUI. Not sure though.

Dad just showed me this:

C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\SendTo

Add a shortcut in that folder, I know its permanent, but its a good start.
