[Newmap] : haw_b1

hi everyone, ive been using bsp for a while now and i have made about 15ish test maps and i thought it was time i should release one to see what people think. the map is called haw which stands for hell above water as the map is completly on water. its a simple small map with 2 teams. i have used some ctp1 textures and even sk89q's tree models all of which i have included in the zip folder. there are some problems with the map, first of lighting, i cant decide how dark/light it should. there are a few places where edges dont quite meet and where bits stick out. anyway i'd like to know what you all think, and im sure you'll come up with some great suggesstions and tweaks i cant make to the map. hope you enjoy. thanks.

UPDATE: few, problems with b2. lighting needs to be altered aswell. b2 coming soon.

It should be "type" "200", not "ammo" "200". High r_speeds are caused of reflective water. It doubles the normal r_speeds. You can either remove the water, or take the "warp" tick out of surface properties.
The map is still boxy like first maps usually are, but the idea is not that bad after all. Atleast better than in most of the shock/blitz "spray'n'pray" maps. Maybe some more cover, not only glass, but solid like wood/metal, where you can take better cover when you're taking the flag home, for example. The round shapes on bunkers/covers are nice, but the boxy bunkers on the sidewalls are a no-go. They look boring and they dont show enough creativity in them.
As for the brushes, you can change the texture, modify surface properties etc. for every independent face of the brush, not just the whole brush at once. You can do this by clicking "Apply to Face" instead of "Apply to Brush".

thanks jeejee.  :). yeh i dont think the side bunkers look very good either its just i'm unsure of what i could put there, any suggestions?. thanks for the ammo thingy, rookie mistake :-[. thx.

also u have r_speeds 6000 when u havent ON reflective water ;)

thanks kyuuchi. i fink i have sorted the r_speeds connt (spartax ,ty ) now and i have added a few finishing touches, and the ammo is working now properly,( thx jeejee), i just need to sort out the side wall, i thought maybe a speed jump up to somthing higher in the corner above the trees,? idk, what would look good?. thanks T3RR0R1ST, i should have a b2 out within 1 week though. thx guys  :)

i think metal would look good as a side wall in dark areas.only problem i don't think IT would go with the wood
