Just to clarify...Agent...I never ment to imply that it was you, I was simply relaying what I was told about previous names.

From what I can tell...this idiot only connected once under each name I listed, and has not been on the GT servers other then that.

P!nk, I defended because someone said something about it when I whined in the #pball chan. I felt maybe I should explain a little. Thanks for the support though.

P!nk: I was going by the IP Derrek posted and the IP AgentSmith used in these forums.

I was planning to keep the GBL limited to the most serious offenses (cheating), but I might make an exception for that dirtyburrito guy simply because he's taken impersonation to an extreme. It seems he's on at least once a day with that name. I also haven't been able to match his IP to any known player. It seems he's never been to these forums.

Not sure Jitspoe...it might have ben the hybrid. Just look in the logs for me connecting and yelling at him. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

heh impersonators! boy do i know all tooooo well about this subject. ive had people inpersonating me on this game for 7-8 years. mostly ganja (after my car accident ganja changed his name to unibonger and clamed he was me and was joining all sort of clans, skater is also known for doing names like "uni<members of a socially disadvantaged class" befor and a few other people puttin uni onto their name. if any admins are interested and remember mustang`s server (crazyladys husband`s server) use to run a server for dp, and he was well aware of the problem i was having with these people. soo he hadded a code into the server script. where i had to type in a password to use any name that contained *UNI* in it, everyone else who used uni in their name were automaticly kicked from the server. this might be a good idea for [GT] to make some sort of block on their clans tags, or mabbe its about time someone made a auth system for peoples names on dp. i would realy realy love to see this done...

well, if thats the case, then it actually was AgentSmith on faking the nicks... IPs don't lie

There have also been players pretending to be in MeMi, but all we can do is ban their IP / tban them from the servers, usually they come back with a new IP some days after..
