Cheat Detection

Ok. So i ran a test not too long ago with a few players from counter strike. and oddly enough when they downloaded DP their all of their clients said they had cheats / modified content. So.... something going on that shouldnt be. anyone wanna go to the bottom of this.

It made sense until after downloaded DP.  Reread it and edit it so people can understand it without having to think over it to make sense of it.

they were probably using hacks/cheats for counterstrike, which also affect (some parts of) the DP2 vulnerable source. This might have triggered the DP2 cheat detection.

1. I know quite a few DP players play CS1.6 and CS:S without getting the warning or getting banned.
2. That warning is _only_ possible if you change game files.
3. DP has no way of being "aware" that counter-strike is installed unless it is running concurrently with DP.
4. Be quiet.

Is that relevant? You stated that other players also had the same issue with the detection system and didn't say who they were.

You made a thread, therefore anyone in the community is allowed to comment on it, if you meant to adress this topic to jitspoe or anyone else then send him an email or something

The detection system can not detect any cheats in any folders besides the DP ones (correct me if I'm wrong).

Me, MyeRs, Spook, Nub, skitzo, even iron, who has used some major hax on CS:S, and still hasn't had trouble with DP for modded content afaik. Plus more who I can't name off the top of my head.

i play cs:s too and have played 1.6 before. no warnings have came up from dp yet

Locked thread because it was going no where. You messed up by trying your cs hacks on dp. You found out that they worked too good and were caught. You attempted to get your friends to see if they could get them to work and they were caught. Whoops.
