Hehe, I don't like it on carpathian, too.

For the platform, just move it a few units. I hope it's easier to understand with this screenshot.

Fixes:
- Fixed that platform + added info_player....whatever is it :D forgot the name
- Fixed cap point for flags - 2.flag 4 points, 1.flag 5 points

Lol, now you moved the problem with the platform from the left side to the right side. Maybe you need to shorten the wall (right in the pic above) a little bit :)

Oh, and the blue secret room has still no entrance.

Deleted secret rooms. Made it only info_player_start

Very nice, one more very small thing...move the info_player_start entity back slightly, that you can see the text completely. Also there left the blue face of the entrance in that room.

Might be ready for final release :)

I've attached a demo with some feedback.  The map looks good.  It's nice that you keep posting new betas.  Biggest problem I have with it is the flow - there are a lot of little areas where you get hung up and could use clip brushes or slight adjustments.  There are some boxes that aren't really useful but just get in the way.  Most of the paths to the second flag are out of reach for new players.

Map is up on the beta server for play testing.

Paintball hasnt new players, this game is dead.

@jit ok i will try to improve its flow. But isnt pforest/prolandr/renoir the same? Those maps are excellent but pforest or prolandr have only one way for new players without trick jumping. Anyway i will add everything as you suggested.

@aveiro i dont think so. There are many new speed clans/pub clans (i have noticed at least 7 new clans). What does that mean? New players are interested to get into matching scene ;). I dont think this game can ever die there will be always speed players or pub players to keep it alive.

Just because other maps have those issues doesn't mean they're good.  It would be nice if we could help make the game grow instead of designing maps that are exclusively for people with 5-10 years of experience.

Hm actually its good idea. Most of the mappers is trying to make map which looks like pfo/prolandr. I will try to keep it in mind and make map that is designed for new players :)

Red: I'm not sure why there's a purple light. Might be a lighting issue...


Red: One misaligned wall texture. Not a big deal to fix this.
Blue: What happened to the sky? The other base looks different.
