This is an open-source game right?
« on: May 30, 2006, 02:26:04 PM »
Well, i think jit when u get the linux support working nicely you should submit the game to a major linux distro to add in their next new version. sorta like how the guys who made SuperTux & that other spaceship game did. do you think thats a posibility? cause it wuold make the game more well known/popular.

The engine is GPL, however not all of the content is.  The linux distros are picky about that kind of thing.  I'm slowly reworking everything, but it will be a while before it's distro-ready.

Couldn't it go up on an unofficial repository like some of the repositories I added to Ubuntu?

An unofficial repository could be thrown together, it would need a host though. An easier solution would be to just have the latest build made into a .rpm, .deb, and .tar.gz for the more common distros. Another solution that would probably be the best would be to make a linux .run installer script for it like most commercial linux games use, and those games with Loki installers.
The Linux build still needs some work though *cough* audio.
