Depends on turnout and haven't locked anything in yet, but think things like: free private servers, amazon.com gift cards, etc.

Certainly need to work on the server side hacking detectors before a tournament. :P

Most likely, but I am open to allowing some Euro servers/etc if we can get them donated by someone for the tournament.

4v4 would probably be the best, but I'd assume the best turn out would be 3v3.

I think 4on4 sounds great, but is too much. I remember that in the last cups many matches were given up, because clans couldnt provide 3 players.

 3v3 double elimination

But I think you should do it for NA only. Haven't witnessed succesful euro/na one day cups. Not saying euros shouldnt participate, but keep it all american servers. When we run our euro 1 day cups, several american teams participated and since it was clearly stated that euro servers were used noone whined about it.

When you guys decide to run a league again, then include servers ;)

Yep, it's looking like the format will be 3vs3. Here's another topic I wanted to throw out to get a temperature reading for:

- Entry Fees per Team

This would be small, something in the range of 10-20$ per team variety (or 3 - 7 bucks a person). All entries fees would go toward better prizes, and we would figure out some kind of distribution that rewarded not only the winning team (1st,2nd, winning back-draw, etc). Is there interest in this?

Thought I'd share this conversation from IRC as well, some valid datapoints:

<MyeRs> Entry fee's aren't a good idea in dp. 1- A lot of players are <15 and don't have credit cards to give the money via paypal and 2- There's really 3 GOOD NA teams that everyone knows 1 of them will win, if paying is involved the lesser teams prob wont participate
<Blitz> one potential could be those teams that pay an entree fee are eligible for better prizes
<Blitz> but anyone can play, they just can't win prizes
<Blitz> something to that effect
<Blitz> but yeah, valid points on the age
<Blitz> the 'good' teams is less on an issue
<Blitz> you don't have to only give prizes to winning teams
<Blitz> you can do other cool things, person with most pgp kills in the tourney, best k/d percentage, etc

Text based entry payments could also work and be a good PayPal alternative (via ViciouZ). I'll look into this some.
