It seems to me that the easiest way to have these cups is this:
Tournament on every second weekend (saturday/sunday should alternate), 1 map per tournament on most cases (it is too difficult to me to explaing people how to eliminate maps every tournament) and keep the runtime of the tournament as low as possible. So timelimit around 10 would do it.
I don't hold tournaments merely because I am trying to give back to the community, I hold them because I like to play this game and over the past few years playing on tournaments has proven to me that it is the most fun you can consistently have.
Altho, I am trying to make this a regular event (2 cups each month) I am not continue, if the community doesn't support it. I don't want to get the clans to play only because I went through the effort and PMed every player I saw on IRC. I want the clans to participate and show initiative. Not much to ask, I think. So, if we don't see initiative and interest from teams, I'm afraid I don't have the motivation to be running these cups for long.
Now, lets discuss the future tournaments. Here is the place to suggest dates for upcoming maps, which map you would like to play, also I hope to receive ideas for 'wierd' cups (like the bombsaway 3v3 cup was).
atm Im thinking sunday the 4th. Start time 7pm central europe, and for the map I was looking for something simple. Like ub_cliffs or whatever. So your opinions?
