ATTENTION, MAPPERS OF DIGITAL PAINTBALL!

Deadline: 28th January, 6PM GMT

Theme: Small deathmatch maps for a max of 8 players.

Rules:

You can submit as many maps as you want
Collaborations are allowed but the prizes are done per map, not per author
No remakes, original or "inspired" content only
Maps must be vis'd and lit
The judging panel consists of me. I'll be considering submissions based on technical aspects, aesthetics, gameplay and innovation.

Prizes:

1^st: $20
2^nd: $10
3^rd: $5

Prizes will be delivered via paypal.

If I get enough submissions, these maps will be the starting rotation for a 24/7 deathmatch pub that I'm going to set up in a couple of weeks.

What an excellent idea I think it's great way to get people mapping and there haven't been any DM servers for a while

- May I submit a polished beta version of the maps?
- Do I create a new topic for each map I submit?

Yeah, that's fine. Go through the usual map release procedure, whatever the latest beta is when we hit the deadline will be counted as your submission.

Really nice idea, but unfortunately if it's only a week I doubt I will be able to find enough time but i'm definitely going to try to get a map in!

I agree. I think 1 week isn't going to be enough time to get really high quality maps.

ah ill upload it for him in an hour or so if thats ok? hes got a forum ban, and he said cuso would submit it, but i have it somewhere.

Hey, if it's okay I will uploading it in about 30 mins... It FINALLY just finished compiling after 2 and a half days.... FML. Is that okay? If the mappers care that I entered a couple of hours later because my comp is excrement, I don't mind if it's not judged. But if not, I hope it can still be entered. Thanks

Sounds alright to me, I know you've been having trouble overheating while compiling. Unless anybody has any objections, as long as you upload in the next couple of hours it will be considered.
