why not? itll take a while but it would be better that repeated terrain

Are you using the high quality final compile?  If so, that will take a long time.  Also, open maps tend to take a long time to compile in general.

Remember, I use radiant. Different terms. But, for lack of a better term, I use the high quality compile.  Everything is normal except the arghrad -extra switch.

I still don't understand why ArghRad is what takes so looong. After the first 2 out of the 3 stages, it just sits there for 3-4 hours. Then it finally does the third stage in about 3 seconds.

Yes but most maps don't wait 4 hours between the two stages.

Oh sh*t, my last modification made my r_speeds go up to 2400 wpoly in one part of the map. Need to fix, NOW.

Most maps don't use GenSurf.
