Popular Online games
« on: December 04, 2012, 08:28:55 AM »
Hey,

Title says it all.

After a 4 months term in Harvard I am back home and, not like anyone would care anyway, I'm starting gaming again. Which games do you guys stick to now? What kind of game? Which games are popular in the gaming scene?

Thanks for any mature replies

Most of the dp scene have moved on to play LoL nowadays, didn't do anything special for me but hey you might like it. Other than that i think its still pretty much the same:

Urban Terror
Crossfire
Counter strike
Warsow
and some others that i've missed out

Hello tezz, I believe the most active game and biggest matching scene currently is League of Legends. Best game eva.

Oh, thanks for those replies ! I'll sure take a look at those. 'Bout Dp, is it back active or is it still "dead" ?

I have a feeling that if everybody that complained about the game being dead actually played regularly, it would be pretty active.

It would be how it was like 2 summers ago. So about 8 NA and 8 EU teams. Right now, there's probably 4 NA and like 2 EU teams. (I'm basing this off IRC). So more active, sure, but not active. It was way more fun, since right now you're lucky to have a legit team vs team game. The more back you go the more people actually tagged up for their team and cared about their records, making it feel competitive. Now a match is usually a PUG, and a pub is spawn killing.

I have a feeling that if there were good pubs, people would be playing more. There's just no agreement on what makes a good public server. And more people playing = more competitive scene etc.. Starts with the pubs.
