Too dark

Sometimes when i start paintball up, it's really too dark and i can't find the ''brightness'' option in the menu.
I think its mainly because of my lcd screen, but any resolvements for this? Kind of annoying when people camp and i cant see them because its just too dark :(

EDIT: also the gamma monitor or whatever is it doesn't do any good

gl_brightness does not work anymore with build 37.

Go to your video settings click on gamma/brightness once that opens turn the brightness all the way up.

do what i do
gl_brightness 999999999999999999999999
lightmap colour saturation - all the way down.

= no glare effect on any map. your welcome my son.

What video card do you have?  Could you post a screenshot of what the game looks like for you?
