Well, DianA wanted to get back in DoP but we said no. Seems like we did right not letting him in although we didnt think hes a cheater.

btw: Will these bans be lifted somehow? And further more, does changing IPs (dynamic IPs) help getting around these bans?

Was online with it today again at my aunts PC.

I know, no one will belive me but i had it toggled off,
and i swear i never played with it before, just on LAN...

Admitting that you used your "TestClient" on LAN makes you bannable again now that you have admitted to it, if you are caught using cheats in dpball even offline, even against bots and there's evidence of it then Jits has reason to ban you.

Keep your TestClient running Quake 2, not poisoning the dp community.

Got detected again as DaRKTeMPLaR under the ip 84.158.242.170 on 71.31.120.137 on 2006-07-03 at 8:57:32 EDT. I assume it's the same person. I would suggest uninstalling any cheats you have. Even if you don't intentionally use them online, you'll get banned if they're detected. Simple as that. Easiest way to not get detected is to not have them in the first place.

bitmate: Bans are currently IP based, but I'm working on a method to do hardware bans for the next version. If you get banned, not only will you have to get a different ip, but you'll have to get a different computer, too.

Smokey, yeah, but its still the same, any evidence of you having the cheats at all and Jits will probably ban you. The thing is to just not use any cheating programs, and I'm sure if something is truely mis-detected as a cheating program when its not, then you could discuss it on the forums for a conclusion.

Or use a different networking device/spoof your MAC address, or steal your sister's laptop.

And lekky, currently if you were to somehow manage to move into the house of a person who used to play dpball and was banned, most likely your ISP would completely reset everything for you just because the old subscription was cancelled, if not you could tell Jits of your strange claim.

And in the future this hardware banning would make your moving into a new house scenario not affect you, unless for if the cheater left his/her computer behind and you intend to use it.
