I'd suggest letting someone teamviewer with you. But, make sure it's someone highly trusted in this community, I'd say superman.

I'll keep trying to help though, when you entered the "192.168.1.1", what actually came up? Could you take a screenshot and upload it for me?

How do u know those numbers are MY ip address? I typed those numberrs into the address bar and it took me to a page titled westell and that was talking about my modem status.

So I'm guessing a separate modem and router, so try 192.168.0.1 and if that doesn't work, you'll have to find out who set the router up (parents?) and ask for the ip.  Those that Rick and I have given are defaults for routers.

If you want you can send me a pm on irc sometime.  I can help you over Teamviewer like Rick said.

They're probably just helping you so you can run a home server. They're looking for things that might associate with the reason your server isn't on the public server list. Anyway, home servers usually don't take all this work. I have no idea why yours doesn't show up on the server list.

Everyone has to do the same thing to run a home server.  You either did something wrong, or missed a step entirely.  Like I said, get a hold of me on irc when I am not at work and I can take a look at it for you.  I've helped a lot of different people start servers over TeamViewer.

Getting a home server seems way harder now. I used the tutorials on youtube to get to this point. Those tutorials had nothing about port forwarding, and i dont know what my ip address is....

If you don't want to take me up on my offer use the guide I wrote.

http://dplogin.com/forums/index.php?topic=17726.0

You just need to actually read it.

Edit:  Oh all the images have been deleted... I will make an updated version of the guide.
