Just try it and see what happens.  I'm wondering if it's a stability issue with your video card.  ATI cards are notoriously unstable.  Running at 600+fps may be too much for it.

Now i get up to 1000fps but not so often with 8x MSAA... So it crashes only a few times and not "always"...

Its just the fps and i dont like AMD anymore... My next graphicscard will be a nvidia...
Nvidia is just better at minecraft with shaders for example or in Maniaplanet nvidias are better!

Its just amd that is doing something wrong!

When you're getting 60fps, it crashes every time?

PROBLEM SOLVED

Its not my graphicsdriver...
Its not the Build40
Its not my config
Its not my Windows
Its not any modification on the Game
Its NOT the 1000fps
its not the motionblur
Its not any weird script

ITS TOO MANY DATA IN PBALL

I just deleted some stuff in my folder... much demos, a few texturefolders, other old menus and so on...

I tested it a few times...
I think you all know 2fort5...
Everytime when i jumped into the water... The game crashed!
Evertime i load ariejump30, the game crashed!

Everytime i tested the same things with my old paintball (less data overflow) it worked!

Now it works too!

So just remember:
Clean your paintball every half a year and you will be save and stable in game!

Uh... the amount of stuff you have in your paintball directory should have no impact on the stability of the game, unless the game is actually using that data.  I fear it may not actually be fixed, but it just happened to start working (for the moment) for another reason.

If anybody can figure out a way to reproduce a crash due to a bunch of data, I'd be really curious to look into it.

Lumixan had that too when he got waayy to much demos inside his demo folder...

The game just crahsed too...

But i dont know if the crash then caused by some strange positions on maps or what else...

Because its very very very strange, that it crashed only when i got into water (example 2fort5) and not anywhere else...
And that because of too much data!

My paintball now works fine stable with fresh motionblur(1000fps) :D

Ive heard that problem a lot times and the demos are just filling up and up and up so it crashes after a variabl time depending on how much you donwload or record while playing...

Anyways its stable, its not your fault on B40!

I think that the quake2 engine got problems there...
I mean that engine is just about 14 or 15 years old and when quake2 released they didnt need 1Gb of gamedata!

Because my pball folder was about 1GB and maybe little bit higher! Now i got 800MB but thats still to big!

Maybe you can "fix" that or we just have to clean up our Paintball directory for stability and free diskspace! XD

That water is non-transparent and blocks vis, so if you're halfway through the surface, only one side is rendering.

Oh, so it says "failed to load maps/<random string>.bsp" only for me? Great, probably issue with b38?
Rick, try to tell whats the problem next time (I know it's sometimes hard, but some info isn't that hard).

Well, I attached a demo for him with the bug, I didn't have much time to try and figure out the problem for myself. (The map is 3v3tourney.bsp if you want to try to fix your error :) ).

Thanks for the quick reply Jits. Ah, so it was the mappers fault, it's a pretty groovy 'bug'.

Well, I believe it's not mine bug but actually jitspoe made error somewhere and his game does that :P . And I do have map, just your demo was making my pball go nuts.
Still until I find this bug more often it doesn't matter now :P . (There are countless less important bugs anyway which are there for ages).
