New server in progress: snowmans server Help pleaseee
« on: October 20, 2013, 10:17:41 PM »
Hi I am making a new server. Is and upload speed of 237kbps good enough? It will be a 16 person server.
1 thing: I portfowarded 27910 and, made a shortcut that starts the server up with my fully configured server.cfg configuration, yet it still doesn't show up in the server list. Help ASAP plz.

237 kilobytes? should be good for 16 people but if people have to download files ur server may lag and its slow.
post me ur server.cfg file and ur start script u use please.

Cant find any problem, and ur server sends heartbeats, thats good.
start your server and watch here if you can find its ip
( http://dplogin.com/serverlist.php )
if yes it should be in the list, if no try to let your server run a hour and check again, do you als use the latest build?
But i noticed your server is in new zealand, are there many new zealand/australian PB2 players? because players from other countrys may got a bad ping and you not much players.
and you need to change ur op passwords.

My IP is static. Does it have to be dynamic?

No, you want it static, otherwise it'll change.  But that doesn't matter, either will appear on the server list.
