I can make exceptions provided they have been started recently, pm me with the details and I will see what I can do.

Could i get more time? I'm sorry but less than 1 month isn't enough time to make a good enough map.

But on a more serious note, I really think the deadline should be December 30th and not November 30th.

This is why mapping contests should have a theme; and a definite start-after-contest rule; it helps to stop disputes like this.

Also, could you post details of judging, i.e. any particular categories the maps will be judged on, how many judges etc?

I'd love to do it, but a short time frame = the only people that will be able to compete are the kids, and the quality will be meh. Give us some time, and maybe something fun will come out of it.

    Edit:
+1 for adding judges and criteria

Mapping contests are all about motivating people to make a quality map to Paintball. With such a narrow time frame, I doubt there will be much quality in any map that takes less than a month to make.

Come on omnoms! Make this contest longer! Maybe we could have some new, popular, and widely played maps on servers just because of a little longer time.

The judges should have more of an understanding on the maps. You have never made one and probably don't understand the gameplay/flow/aesthetics of mapping to be honest.

Sorry in advance I will NOT be participating in this. I think I should give these newer mappers a chance!

I will not be participating in this contest either because I don't have the amount of spare time necessary to make a good map in 3 weeks.

Omni you really should extend this if you want a decent outcome.

    Would there be awards like..
    Best Architecture
    Best innovation
    Best Appeal etc..
Then maybe I'll try to make a map on....
    Slum area(deathmatch) or a plane hijack scenario(siege)

Ok there is an extra month on top of the mapping contest for you to compete in, Deadline is now the 31st of December so you have plenty of time to map.
