new map: credere | final

Hello guys,

this is my latest map, its called "cReDeRe" which is latin and means "believe".

It's pretty small, good for 1v1 or 2v2 (and maybe 3v3), but has a very funny and exciting gameplay.

There is...

-1 flag per base (5 points)

-2 mid-flags (1 point)

-1 Autococker per base (on the crates by FD)

-2 200ammo boxes in each main

(This map is an entry for the #sPec# mapping-contest!)

Playable gamemodes...

-CTF


FINAL VERSION

+added a white flag low

Nice map Matze!

All I can say is, it looks a little too open. Maybe add some more barriers or other things in the map.

EDIT: And couldn't this also be played in One-Flag mode?

I'm still not sure about that gamemode thing :P.
I'll add more detail to main in beta 2, but do you have any ideas what can be added?

Something more exciting than a figure of 8 would provide better gameplay and more marks in the contest. I wouldn't hesitate to add more routes/jumps.

Edit: I didn't realise the low area, that makes it better :) still, attempt to make mid more interesting for gameplay. Good luck :)

How about more jumps, as mission said and as I told you I wanted, and some more sniper spots for base?
And, I don't know what, but you could add some things to the underground place too! Seems too secret already and is really barren.

Just some suggestions.

My feedback:
-Map is a bit too small for a 2v2 even.
-Paths doesn't cross (main and low)
-Map is not newbie friendly (mid flag)
-Not enough jumps/ramps
-Not enough paths
-Too many flags for such size
-Unable to choose 1Flag/CTF.
-Mid/low path is too easy to line.

Other than that, I think it would be a pretty good pgp map, because it isn't big. But I think unless you make it much bigger, it won't be good gameplay with carbines.

I just tested it on my server, and I have to say, I like the new beta! I think you should move the ramp to hbd a little to the left as it blocks a little bit when going into base that way.
Also, I'd love to see a more interesting underground.

Overall, I love the High-BackDoor idea and the noob-friendly crate, and the way to the high-back door!

I started the next beta after I got feedback from Terrorist and clipz. But it will take a lot of time till I release it because I am a bit busy at the moment/the next few days.

Looks good so far.

I'd add some more players spawns. At the moment all players spawn next to the flag. Maybe add a player spawn on top of the boxes and one backdoor, that it's a bit more variable.

The map is very small. I'm not sure if steel barrel and carbine is the best choice for the size of this map. But I didn't test the gameplay with other players, maybe an idea you could think about.

It would be cool to add some team indicators. It's not really necessary for the gameplay, but it would add some more color to the map. At the moment there only 3 textures (rock, sand, box) for the whole map.

And 2 screenshots...

EDIT: The text of the second sreenshot: this corner/wall loos very empty, maybe add a few small boxes there, that you also can go onto the small wall with the window...

Give us the map file so maybe the community could fix up the map if we want.
