I think we did quite well in considering the circumstances ;)

It's a curious question, who was better old (pre 2010 with the physics and ballspeed changes, maybe even earlier than this) vs new (post 2010) players. Would love to watch any old demos if anyone has them.

Comparing wasnt my intention, it would be little bit inappropriate.. There were much more different players in past with who you could play and train with.

The only great player in past was and still is shk. He put into this game a lot of time and mastered his movement, prediction, aim, lines, mind to outplay everything what moves. He is changing all settings for every different map. After bunch of time he put into this game, I think even if he will be inactive for long period of time, there will be nobody to be able to get on his level.

If you can watch demo of some "top players" and shk's demo, you can clearly feel the difference, that he is playing consistent. He is trying to make every jump, rush, defense, line, outplay so perfect, that it looks like it's programmed.

This is just true with facts.

If you want an honest answer, the old players cared about aim and positioning. The new players care about moving and jumping. The old/new maps show this. There is no comparison to be made.

I just saw insane video of how you are supposed to think ingame, how to line, how to move n shiat. This is an example of pro player, his insane moves, lines and predictions made me a boner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SG1s_5HNd0k

If you can learn something from that video, thank me later for that advice.

Then there was the golden connecting era, when we achieved the perfect balance of speed/aim/and not quite opaque walls.

Yup, somewhere in the middle was probably best.

You did quite well!

Tip for Zenit: Discuss the tie map before the match starts

What era is considered old? Because my generation would get smashed vs shk/myers/chems gen.
The game changed so much since when i started... before it was all one flag maps with two paths. Now its turned into jump mod, I give the edge to the new guys.
