It's not that you want other clans to have the same advantage-- it's that you're saying to get voice recon, or get off the server.
  :o :o :o :o

No I said this.......

voice recon owns any other form of recon and that everyone should use it. Dont rely on this crap. You will loose because of it one day.

This is in your words not mine.........

"mmmm loial is bad mmm i will get him mmmmm, yes may i have my red stapler mmmmm"

Sk8ter the point of this thread was to make mm2 better, right? My point is dont bother. Force them to get voice recon. Its more effiective.

Perhaps instead of kicking the server can mute the spammer for 5 min.? Either way dont use mm2 in a serious 4v4 match.
I wonder what kind of person is lower than a stupid, poor, drunk red neck? A person with out a mic. Dont be lower than us, please.

So, what do I win?

Except it proves what I said before. In both those posts you say that people without voice recon should not play, or vice versa.

Sounds like a buncha cackling hens in c0ck house!!  How about doing something productive and enlighten me as to which settings eateR and some of the others are wanting changed so that those that are playing will have the ability to make their own choice.   :o

floodprotect 0 should keep people from being kicked, but I'm sure there's a better way than that...

I think the floodprotect code is either on or off.  I didn't write that.  It was SmokeYa's doing, I think.  I'd say turn it off on the match servers and leave it on in the pubs.

So there is no seperate command that would cover mm2 and leave mm1 protected? Also, what of EateR's comment on spec invites in match servers... Ummm what is that and is there a command for that also?

I don't think so.  People can still be annoying spamming mm2, though -- they just annoy half the server instead of the whole server.

I think eateR was saying that observers could chasecam players without specinvites.  Set observerblackout to 1 to fix that.

Agreed but we're talking about Match servers in which case I don't believe teammates would purposely try to spam or annoy each other.

So on match servers ONLY set:

floodprotect off
observerblackout 1

And leave it to those matching to demo players who might spam or abuse the open settings.  Then those clans can deal with their abusive clan mates accordingly.

Agreed?

I kind of like the observer blackout even tho specing people is a pain but it avoids obs reconning.

IMHO I'm not sure it's really fair to have anyone in a match that's not actually playing in the match...  In other words it's not necessary to have anyone in obs and that eliminates the the chance players might be reconning in observe mode via voice chat.

Observer Blackout does not work all the time or at least I found this out the first and only game I attempted to play when PBCuP had first started.

I recommend that if they are matching to avoid using mm2 to recon. There are better ways.
