Short of it being a useless cosmetic change to the texture, what would justify changing this?

The last thing we need is the co2 packs lasting longer. Also, it wouldn't be a matter of changing co2 to no2 so much as changing a number.

n2o eh? I'd like having it, only if empying it in water would cause the water to freeze though. :P
I could see there being a mix or co2 and n2o tanks laying around just for a realistic variety, but it's not that big of a deal if it is or isn't implemented.

Changing co2 to no2 would be as pointless as adding a new gun. The biggest co2 tanks there is now are big enough that you should never have to refill it. So why the hell would you need something bigger? As well with guns; there is always somebody that wants a new gun to the game. But what's the point? The cocker is the best gun in the game, and to make something shoot faster would just be retareded.

G'day.

Not joking. I'm a Twisted Metal addict, I like having specials that can freeze people. Howbout you can "drop" the airtank of any type into water and have it freeze the water, is that more or less stupid of an idea to your almighty-self, Lunatic?

This is paintball, not Twisted Metal. Good luck with having something implemented where dropping your tank into water freezes it. Wow..

And it's Sir Lunatic to you.  ::)

What purpose would switching the tanks do. They basically look the same besides gauges and sort of different shapes. Plus the guns in this game dont require n2

It wouldn't be hard to do, the solid state part would be, but you could have it where anyone in the water dies and their model changes to one with ice on it. Quake I had the electricity in water thing, I don't see how this is too big of a difference from that.

I was considering adding N2O as an upgrade that wouldn't freeze your gun after prolonged firing, but most people play with gun freezing off, so it wouldn't make any difference.

SUPRA: its called "guntemp", its a server setting, not client. But yeah, I like the idea, because not all servers have it the guntemp off, and it would be nice for some of the newer larger maps.
