The main issue is me not having a mac.  There have been a couple people who tried to make OSX ports in the past but after a while they disappeared.

You don't really need "a mac", do you? Wouldn't you just need a way to run Mac OSX emulated or something like that? PPC had  PearPC, but I'm not up to date on if OS X x86 would run in something like VMWare or Qemu.

As for Mac OS X costing $mulah$, you might want to look into either Open-Darwin (dead) or GNU-Darwin.

I would imagine x86 macs are in the minority right now, and if people have those, they can just install boot camp and play on windows anyway.

In that case there's still Pear PC. Yeah booting windows on mac isn't hard to setup, but (non-retarded) people don't buy Apple hardware to run Windows on it, they buy a Mac to run Mac OS. If they buy it to run windows then they might as well have bought a better laptop for cheaper that would come with windows and windows support.

P.S.
Spell check worked fine for me, good job on that.
