Oh thank you P!NK.

Actually your accusations don't hurt me, I have a lot of cheats(if thats what you people like to call them) but doughtz, there is a difference between having them and actually using them on a server or even posting an SS of you using them on a server.  Yeah I have posted screen shots of different models I have but they are against bots on my own computer.  Do you honestly think I would use a frisbee shaped paintball on servers?  If anything a frisbee paintball would hurt your play rather than help it.  SkateR you have shown me screen shots of your Bevis and Butthead models that you got off polycount and I assume you don't use them so I don't get what your point is.

i don't play pub so i wouldn't care.
Good for you! So your input does not really matter.

Next please...

I don't think name impostering in a pub is really a big deal.
Glad you feel that way. Others don't.

If you don't play pub or don't think it is important then that is fine. Trying to make this less important by saying "it does not affect me" or "who cares" does not help anyone in anyway. This is a matter of importance to the  admins because if they don't take action then they are the ones blamed.

Are you talking about the most useless q2 model ever?

I'd argue to say my ninja star paintballs are more useless.

Something is already being done about it, so until then its kinda a moot point.  How is it an admins fault if if their are imposter's in their servers?

Hehe. I did not say it was the admins fault. I said that they get blamed for inactions. For example:

If player "A"  uses a visually obvious cheat (speed) or if a player spoofs another player and acts with impunity under their name, people do complain and rightfully so.

Like this new trend. Frankly it hurts no one until they do malicious acts under someone else's name. Then harm is done, even if the player being spoofed does not care.
Which bring me to my example.

The following example is a stretched comparison. But accurate to a point.

Take for instance 3rd party harassment in the workplace and compair it to playing in a public server with players who are causing grief to others and being disruptive and witnessed by an offended player.

In both scenarios an improper action was done by an offender, against a victim and witnessed by a third party.  Regardless if the 'victim' enjoyed the offense the employer of the offender has to take action to resolve the issue for all parties, as fast as possible. If not then the employer will then become liable and will be held accountable.

Same principal should apply to server admins as it does the employer in a third party harassment case.

Good growing communities expect admins to be held accountable. When no actions are taken against the offender then the admins in the past have been blamed for poor server management and accused of favoritism.

Worst off is the 3rd party's gaming experience. This could lead to "intercourse this game" or worse "maybe I should try that it looks fun" Both of which none of us want.

*edited Pink not soon enough. Before you say its "pointless" please consider there are players who don't read the forum, both new or old, that have no clue what is being done. All they see is what is happening. They might decide to leave or worse imitate by cheating, spoofing etc etc. None of us approve of either.

fence=global login.
=not done.
Until that fence gets built let the boy trash the pond?

I disagree completely.

What about the third parties perception of the boy throwing trash in to the privately funded, unfenced, public pond? What would these people do when the see the boy throwing trash into a place where they swim and fish? Well it depends.

1. They might stop comming to that pond.

2. They might lynch the boy or blame the owner.

3. They might start throwing trash also.

None of those are acceptable.

Build 17 is not out. Until it is the admins need all the help from players as they can get. As its been said if you report something please include date and time and location. If not its a mute post.

It's coming. Be patient. We shouldn't just give up on trying to catch them for now, but there's no reason to freak out. It'll be about another month, I think.

The only people that are "freaking out" are the ones being affected. Only seems right. Good hopefully your update is accurate. I have been waiting for this for a LONG time.
