Player shadows

Will there be any chance of getting projected/stenciled player shadows in future builds? Maybe even self-shading models?

If enough people vote for it, sure, but what I can do with shadows in the current level format is pretty limited.

There are shadows that only go one direction, and are really crappy, too. Self-shadowing would be awesome, as would real-timeish shadows.

Shadows don't work for the SKM models yet, though you can vote for this feature in the 2007 feature vote thread.

You're probably using the old md2 models.

And harder to see. Lets take shazam22 for example. That slope what goes from base to high, there is a barricade/a wall with a small window in it so you can shoot. You can see old models crouching there (behind the wall), but you cant see new models.

I tried to play with new models after I reinstalled the game, but new models were much harder to see (especially when they were crouching).

1 more thing, out of topic though, when I reinstalled the game i didnt get new high res textures, which I think is a big mistake, hr4 should come with the download file. Plus, the maps what game with the game, well you should reconsider the maplist there. And I had to delete most of the sound folder too (dunno, maybe someone even likes those sounds).
