bind 'key' +hook owns any quake 2 bind.

Nothing says taunt better than the old freeze then grapple hook kill. Sweet. I got chills.

Finding several of the coders for q2/4 wod, ask them I will.

Hell I would love to host the server who had it. Even if I had to play with mysel...oh. Who cares its what made q2wod the most difficult mod to survive in.

Hm...or something like the telelocator in UT.
Kewl! Its more like this though.

Weapons
The most used weapon (not really a weapon, but used by 99% of players) is the "Offhand Grappling Hook". This is used to swing around, just like the Capture the Flag hook, except it has real physics (Instead of flying straight you actually swing) and is the most useful weapon ever used. "WoD 8.x supports two kinds of grappling hook: the old WoD 6.x hook and a new type with a simple linear draw. Both of these hooks are offhand, meaning that unlike the CTF grapple you can fire a weapon and use the hook at the same time."
Uber Sweet Taunting mechanism.

I will talk with (wod/hhr)Cygnus and She-Devil tonight about the code.

halfpipe.bsp works pretty well for DM.  We used that at one of the DPCon's.

That halfpipe map was great!

Huge map too.

Is that used for matches much?

And you must have a lot of time on your hands Jitspoe...that map looked like it took a while.

I enjoy skate and spark, etc. but this one really has almot nothing to do with those. It should really be called pipes or something (though I am sure that map title has been used in other games).

It's called half-pipe because half the map is made of pipes (kind of a play on words).

Oh, and kots1 supports DM, too. :)

I have no idea what all the Femmy responses were about... Maybe you could enlighten me respectfully of course.

Jits how about an answer to the grapple hook questions please?  Thanks in advance...

Kind of figured it was something like that :)

I will try out kots1 now!  Keep those maps coming (if there are others out there).

* Fembot demands a grapple be added (for realism).

Or whatever that bind was.

That's not the subject of this thread, but I currently have no plans to add a grapple.

The question was " How hard would it be" to do it not do you plan to do it...

The difficulty is irrelevant if I don't plan to do it and is hard to assess without further research.  If you want more details, start a new thread.  This one is about DM maps.

Back on topic:  I don't think dropzone.bsp was mentioned.  That's an old classic.  I seem to have lost the sound files for it, though, so if anybody could share them, I'll put them up on dpball.com.

My your a bit testy today...

Knack asked a similar question as I and you neglected the answer to his question as well Oh and the original question WAS in reference to use in a DM map and was mentioned in my post to this thread which was pertaining to DM maps if you'll read back... Fine... Just say you don't know at this time or something kinder... sheesh I'm sure if I started another thread about it you would be just as rude so I'll retract the question.

That looks like an interesting map ,but it seems kind of linear for a dm map.

another DM. Forgot it before. You spawn with chrome barrel, 200 bullets and with an autococker, zomg.

But anyway, fun for awhile.
