Are there any current servers that you know of that play only Death Matches?

Doh! yeah...I originally had two and then edited. I forgot to edit the title.

It seems odd that the game has several game modes and yet most are barely supported. I realize that DM is not the preferred  mode, but I would think there would still be enough interested players to fill one server. 

Perhaps the issue is that the clans generally own the servers and have little interest in dm's.

yeah and DM's tend to be very boring. make your server and see how it does, i might come play on it every once in awhile.

Hm at this point I have some inexplicable port issue. I would think it was my ip but they claim not to block them. And I have my router open, firewall open etc.

there was a DM server when i first started 1 year ago. It was closed soon though. Was always very popular, among newbs though.

I had a DM server up, like a year ago, possibly the one blaa is talking about. I shut it down as I didnt play DM myself and because there were simply not enough DM maps that I could think of. I think there were only 5 or 6 different maps on the server. I didnt think it was that popular, either

Yes, there are not nearly as many.

I have 10 strictly dm maps right now, and then several that I converted over by adding new spawn points. Some are lousy. So I am not using them.

I tried to pick ones that were not linear, had lots of space and hiding places etc.

Rome makes a great dm map so far.

I am converting Dark Ages over now, and I think it will be good as well. Right now there are a lot of underused spots in Dark Ages since most people zoom by them to get to the flag.
