target_speaker trouble

I can't get my target_speaker to play a wav from /sound...

volume 1.0
noise world/wolfhowl.wav

I've tried setting attenuation to diffrent values, setting it to be targeted, and changed the noise to reflect all the possible paths (/pball/sound/blah.wav, etc).

Are you targeting the target_speaker with something else,  like a trigger_multiple or a func_delay? It won't work otherwise for single shot sounds.

add to your speaker...
targetname speaker1

create a func_timer with the following properties
target spaker1
spawnflags 1
wait 10
random 5

now your wolf howl will happen every 5-15 seconds at random

I'll be using my own fearsome WAVs for a scary Aminal-Eats-You-When-You-Enter-Dark effect... powered by purple paint killness lava brush o_O

You can change the colors of the "lava" when you're inside by different combinations of slime and lava flags (don't remember the combos exactly, but you can get all the team colors).
