ETG offers vhosts... Doesn't that hide the hostmask and also does the user make up their own fake hostname on GG-C or do you select it from a list of choices?

i like ggc way better they are launchin nov 11 the admins there are really helpful they have less admins then etg and there is still 1 there all the time better services and more independent then etg the i really like the admins there + lots of the admins there came from ETG because they were fed up 2 i think we should give this network a chance. and it seems a # of users on ETG are fed up 2

you get to make your own CUSTOM fakehosts.  my for instance is J0E@is.looking.through.your.window.touhing.himself

you can get anything that doesn't conflict with a website name (ie you cant get ch1ll.com unless you own ch1ll.com or get permission from the owner), no foul language, and nothing that is offensive

That's quiet nifty...  It is tempting because ETG regardless of user and oper differences has become stagnant...  Becky(Kissy I mean Kismet) has always been the most helpful oper but it is almost impossible to get help in a timely manner on ETG.  The Chanserv script still hasn't been completed, you have to have an established clan to get a vhost, No Nickserv or Memoserv options and registering a channel is a pain in the ass.

I do like the newest Chanserv script on ETG but it needs to be finished.  I have 2 established channels on ETG so I don't have to go through anymore worry about starting a channel... done did that LOL

Just curious, don't the networks you're speaking of that you claim have loads of spam have some kind of "moderate" type setting to block outside of the channel spam?

As far as GameSurge is concerned I'm not sure if they have the channel mode ( +T ) which prevents amsgs, but the spam is from people setting timers in the channels and just leaving them, or join parting and spamming a ton. Whereas on GGC there are a ton of channel modes to prevent pretty much anything that the channel owner does not want (from CTCP preventions to amsg protection its there)

Just to get the facts strait, I was NEVER and let me please repeat NEVER offered anything from GGC if our community was brought there and i take offence to the fact that the oh so knowledgeable Kismet is making such bold statements.

Lekky: GGC is overall a better network, in the opinions of the majority of the active DP clan community, a better network than ETG, Quakenet, and GameSurge.  You're welcome to stay over on ETG, but the majority of the clan communityh as made the switch along with the ch1ll^match bot.

It's simple script channel and flood prot.  On GGC is it "a ton of channel modes" other than what you see in the basic mIRC channel central window or are you including Chanserv options?

Also, "the majority of the active DP clan community has made the switch."?  Who are the 55 people idling in #paintball on ETG  Not being a smartass.. Just curious... How many users have actually transfered already?

They only have 3 servers and you expect them to be able to hold a huge user load?  All you need is one script kiddy to attack it and the whole thing's going down in the blink of an eye.

I talked to bain since I was curious why the ch1ll/pbcup stuff had relocated.  He said he was not happy at all that the dp community was switching over.  Apparently he left ETG to get away from some of the immaturity, and then he ended up getting stuck with all the people even ETG rejected.

edit:
http://www.gg-center.net/?p=servers

This shows that GGC is operated by 66.66666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666% neon servers (kodex & yoshi)... I should be on the same boat of uber-optimism about moving there.

Jitspoe: Xbain feels the same as IronFist does regarding this previous statement, which is why they are both opposed to the whole community moving their
