Gremlin: Well, lots of games focus on outdated weapons -- look how many WW2 shooters there are out there. Personally I like the beefy cold steel look of the old guns more than the curvy cartoon alien laser blaster look of the new ones. They certainly need to be redone one way or another, though, just from a quality perspective.
Smokey: Mappers can already use pak files. I think I even added support for a pak subdirectory so they don't clutter the pball directory.
[bd]imalamp: I'm not sure I follow your requests. Try to be a little more specific as to what you want and I'll add your votes to the list.
TinMan: Q3 colors are ugly -- with bright green, cyan, pink... yuck. Plus you can't use the ^ in text, and it would mean rewriting a bunch of stuff and people would be seeing different things with different builds.
PiCaSSo: Color codes are already stripped in the console logs. There's an option for it that should be enabled by default. Closing tags should also already be put on there. I just stripped the colors out for the status command a couple days ago:
http://dplogin.com/forums/index.php?topic=5025.0abrken: I always play in windowed mode, so I can see the clock (plus I have a watch, hah). I'm sure you could probably get another program with alarms and whatnot, too. The "best of" page would probably lead to a bunch of controversy/heated debates, so I'm not sure that would be a good idea.
loial21: The reason I'm doing this is because people keep making suggestions and I tell them to throw it on the feature vote list, but there isn't one. This vote will span several builds. I'm not going to do what I did last time and just have one vote per build then try to accomplish that feature. It's taking far too long for some features. Instead I'll just work on periodic releases while focusing on features that are at the top of the list, but not necessarily completing them before the next release.
S8NSSON: This might already be possible with rscripts. You can mix/match/blend/rotate/scale/move/etc. different texture layers with rscripts, much like Quake3.
Just for the record, I hate leaning in games... that's the only thing I don't like about FEAR (well, that and the 10-feet away melee attacks).
