That would be an issue with the "worldspawn" in the map itself. If a map doesn't support it, my menus (or anyone else's for that matter) can't do a thing. Could you be more specific on the map so I can make sure it isn't my menu?

OK, I fixed that now, but when I type, it exits my little type thing. It gets really annoying and i dont know what to do.

nvm, it still does the exiting out of the talk thing, and also not going to dm. Even for gxjump1, it wont do deathmatch for me.

Thats a Q2 Jump map isn't it? Those don't even belong in DP. No wonder it doesn't want to work!

I'm assuming he decompiled it, fixed the world spawn, and recompiled it.

Nope. I didn't fix it. The talking thing was wierd, but it doesn't do that anymore. The dm still doesn't work. I tried newmap gxjump1 dm, and it goes into deathmatch mode, but it doesn't do that with the consel.

Edit: Woot, 31 posts, only 19 more to go

Wow. Ok, I fixed it. Somehow I didn't fully implement the game mode select box. I updated the first post.

Zorch just a quick question.

I seen that you redid the menu where you start a LAN Server and put in buttons for siege maps and favorite maps. My question is what would I need to write in the siege.txt and the favs.txt to make these work.

since I updated that and sent it to zorch (and I saw this first  :P), I'll answer for him:

you need separate files for the maps you want in the favs and siege categories.  - the easiest way is to just copy/paste (do NOT just drag the maps into the new directory) the maps you want into the new files.  The menu just reads and lists all the maps in the folders.  Once you select one it will automatically load from your maps folder.  So the map has to be in both places for it to work.

I understand what your saying but that doesn't make since. Why would you need a copy of the .bsp when you are creating a .txt file.

I was thinking that the needed file may be similar to the map rotation for servers.

it's not.  we tried to do that though, and asked about it on another thread.

as for the .txt thing.  He'll have to answer; he may have changed the menu directory to read .txt files and not .bsp.  That just means that he's saving new .txt files as the same name of the maps he wants in the file.  This would take a few extra minutes, but save space.

:o Those wheren't supposed to be in there! Oh well. I'll post the files needed for that later tonight. And I'll explain it when I post the files, so you aren't utterly confused, yet. :)

Update time!

Ok, since I accidentally had the "favs" menus in there, I decided to just make it work right and add them. I updated my first post.
Oh, I also fixed the gamemode thing, again.
