Hi guys, i'm kind of new here.
I've been playing Paintball for months already, but don't know yet how to make those big jumps.
Are they cheats or what? I don't believe I will do them just practicing because I've already been trying for months!

To make larger jumps you have to do something called strafe jumping. you pretty much hold the forward and left or right key on your keyboard and jump forward swinging the mouse left and right for momentum. Your best bet would be watching some demoes and practicing alot to get the hang of it. To play well in DP this is one of the most important factors to your success in PoWninG n00bz.

To revisit from a thread I posted in November of 2005:

On the first beat of the first 4/4 measure, you put your right foot forward. One the next one-count, you put your left foot out. Then you pause for an entire measure. Finally, you do the "bunny hop/strafe jump", which conisists of a forward hop, another hop, and another hop for a total of three, on the one, two, and three beats.

Repeat.

The advanced eR33t strafe technique is a sixteen beat choreography. In the first 12 beats make 6 shim sham steps - left, left, right, right, left, right.

In the next three beats make three jumps (that means both feet to both feet) and pause on the last beat.

Or, if you're one of those who prefers to have a chant it would go:
left-and-left-and
right-and-right-and
left-and-right-and
jump-jump-jump-pause

also, there is no cheating involved. Strafe jumping does take lots of practice, but it makes the game 10x more fun!

Green, no offense, but Spook is probably the best "jumper" in DP. Or Superman, but Spook might be better then him too.

Lol. I would'nt go that far, but everyone goes obs and watches Spook jump<-- True I saw it happen, I was there.
