UDP Stuff - What's Going On Here?

Ok, so I'm working on the UDP based serverlist.  Everything is going well.  I had the server up and running, look away for a minute, then come back and BAM:

Huge list of "status" packets from all over hit it all at once, then all was quiet again.  I'm really confused.

Where are all of these coming from?  How did they get my server ip/port?  Why did like 50+ different ip's send a status command all at once?  It doesn't seem like anything malicious, I'm just severely puzzled.

It's almost like there was a fluke in the network and people trying to get status updates on the EV1 servers instead got directed to the serverlist port.

I think it has something to do with xfire.  It's picking me up playing paintball2, and it's picking up that packets are being sent to that server, so it tells everybody that's where I'm playing at, and all my friends, friends of friends, "guild members", friends of guild members, etc., etc., all ping that server to see what's going on.
