just go install windows 2000, most keys work for it, and windows update doesnt genuine advantage 2000..

when i 1st got 2003..
i downloaded it from microsoft, they gave me a serial
then i cracked it, and killed the time bomb, so i had a legal copy of it, forever, now you could say i have a "legit" copy.

XP is nice, its all eye candy, if you just want a good O/S , id choose 2003 and XP, and 2000 if you just want to be able to play some darn games!

haha, i knew it was crap when Microsoft let u download it.... Vista inst all that bad after you turn off user account bullexcrement, then its all about computability, which Vista doesn't believe in, if you want compatibility with vista u need a Geforce 8800 which is the one and only DirectX10 card and we all know Vista is DirectX10, we can only hope they work for each other

The best thing to do is wait. There will be better and cheaper DX10 cards out and Vista has a service pack coming.

More like eye sores. That XP theme was godawful. Blue and green with ugly, blobby gradients? Blech.

Eww @ rounded edges. But you're right, the whistler theme was like 5 million times better than the bliss theme XP shipped with (and didn't have ugly rounded corners, if I recall correctly).

There's probably a way to get it to work in Vista. It's just a matter of getting the right drivers. I'd try searching google for things like "vista ati opengl" and see if you have any luck finding something that will work.

You could also try setting "gl_allow_software" to 1 and let it run with OpenGL emulation. It will likely be very ugly, though. You'll have to edit your config file to change that setting (c:\games\paintball2\pball\configs\config.cfg).
