I like scrubs because it doesn't take itself that seriously. I dislike scrubs because there's so little depth in most of the characters. It seems written that way so that on the occasional episode where someone does show a significant amount of depth, it's some huge breakthrough. Then things go back to normal, and five or six episodes later, the same thing happens over and over again. Sure, the characters grow, but it feels more like the writers are growing as opposed to the characters themselves. Plus, the simple canned life lesson usually delivered at the end of each episode is fairly simple and the pattern gets old after a bit.
On the plus side, it's usually a very funny show with some interesting topics. I like it.
