Can You Please Find A Way To Make Paintball2 playable Without OpenGL Drivers And It Will Make Paintball Life Better For Others Then Me.

Place New Textures And Skins And What Ever Is New In Paintball2 That Isnt In The Quake2 Version.

Im Sick Of The Quake2 Version That Is Stopping My FPS (Frames Per Second)

My Video Card Isnt Able To Run Paintball2 Because I Dont Have OpenGL Drivers For It, I Have Looked For Updates But Not Found.

Your Help Would Be Nice PLEASE

Termi: if you type in like allow_software 1 in the config file it will boot up in software mode however this is terribly slow.. if thats not the right cmd then look back in the previous news pages, may be in the build 9-8-7 feature list, not sure

Go and pick up a GeForce 2 for $30. That will give you superb Paintball 2 performance, at a visual quality that far exceeds anything you could get without OpenGL.

Also, capitalising the first letter doesn't make it easier to read; in fact, it makes it extremely difficult to read. Also, if someone passed you in a typing course, that is hilarious.

As Fryth pointed out, you can get a card for less than $40 which will run PB2 nicely.  Given the amount of time and effort it would take for me to develop a software renderer for the alpha, it would be more feasible for me to just buy you a new video card.

You may actually have a video card that supports OpenGL.  Right click on "my computer" go to "properties" then "hardware" then "device manager."  Click the

• next to "Display Adaptors" and see what it says.  If it's ATI or nVidia, go to ati.com or nvidia.com and download the latest drivers.

ok Jitspoe i shall do so, but i currently have no money to be buying video cards for myself but i'll check the site for new updated drivers

I Have checked the ATI and other sites that carry updated drivers for my ATI Rage Pro II .... But i currently find none that work and can allow me to run OpenGL still

Could You Please make an alpha version that doesnt need OpenGL and can be used by any drivers? it will take time but i am willing to be patient for me be able not to get a Illegable Server Message from newer Funnames and the textures are excrement on quake2 ver. and just easier for me to do then to get money somehow and buy me a new video card.

It would probably take me a couple of months to get the software renderer up to par... it's just not feasible right now, sorry.

Im Running Windows ME, 300mhz pentium II, voodoo1 cid card

Just i would like a Alpha Version that can be downloaded that doesnt need OpenGL Drivers.... Please Jitspoe i can wait patiently for a version that i can use the proper textures and new skins and anything thats new to alpha that isnt in the quake2 version.... I Have a fast computer but it currently cant run OpenGL drivers.

PLEASE MAKE AN ALPHA VERSION THAT DOESNT NEED OPENGL DRIVERS

Did you try the 98 driver?  That might work with ME...

It would really be faster for you to get a job, earn $40, and buy a GeForce card than wait for me to build a software mode.  Heck, you could probably make that much raking leaves.

dude u want my voodoo ...its got its own 3dfx drivers for quake2 engine ...which better than the open gl no offenese with your cpu ....

voodoo 3500tv with s-vid and rca   in/out attatchment with coaxle in/out on the card its self

NO! Making  a version with software rendering takes TONS of work, and would take a very long time. It won't happen anytime soon.

will i still be able to play digi paint if the open gl is removed ?  i am using q2 with the no cd crack (no offense but simpler is better) and gamespy arcade to pull up my server list ..

i just very worried on day i will try to play and i have no vid support

Er... what?  I'm not removing opengl support...  Also, why do you have a nocd crack for quake2?  After the first point release it quit requiring the CD.

ok Jitspoe i guess i will just play Digital Paint with quake2 but im sick or Illegable Server Message and other quake2 errors that is fixed with alpha....

But i will get a new vid card, untill then sorry for wasting your time.
