Imposter
« on: April 13, 2007, 12:58:16 PM »
Today on the DeW Server we had an imposter come on using my name. Although his full name was lower case and his ip was off. Plese keep an eye out, this person is trying to be others.

ip: 165.123.99.206
name: {DeW} gotmtdew

Please watch out for this person. The Ip falls back to a Public Library.

IP address: 165.123.99.206
Host name: biolab06.public.library.upenn.edu
165.123.99.206 is from United States(US) in region North America

I have banned that ip, but will take a while if he uses another because of being on the library systems. Anyways just a heads up.

Thank You

KiLo

Haha someone at an Ivy League school is being a bad influence.

To make sure it doesn't happen again you could ban 165.123.xxx.xxx.

Domain bans are a LAST resort and only used if the violator has a dynamic IP or is evading his ban with several other IPs using the same domain.

He most likely will be evading if he is at a University where his IP will most likely continually change. But I could be wrong.

Until then, we don't panic and start domain banning because there might be other people from that domain that play DP.
