Unfair advantage?
« on: May 04, 2007, 10:28:17 PM »
Ok well this past day I have been having glitches lately. But this glitch is sort of like a hack.

Heres a Demo:
http://www.zilla-clan.net/upload/921258
In this demo it looks like im hacking

But in these pics it shows im not actually hacking.
shots removed

As you can see, i wasnt really hacking. Just glitches.

Any reason why this is happening?

(spook was the one in the pics ;D)

This is rather funny, since it's not a hack, but it is one. Maybe a fresh install would fix it, or maybe something is messed up with his textures.

Looks like a driver issue.  What video card do you have?  And what operating system?

Lol im not even sure if the glitch is still happening.
I've had this problem about 5 times, once this year, and 4 last year. Usually it lasts for about a day.

And my OS is Windows XP Professional.
And my Graphics card is Multi-Display Edition: Radeon 7000 (It's what's on the box :P, Don't know too much about graphics cards :-\.)

EDIT: Yup, its not happening anymore, now i must wait for when it happens again 8)

Holo, my advice is to write down additional programs running in the background, anything out of the ordinary, etc.  The more information you supply, the better chance there is of it being recreated, and then fixed.

Ah, true, he did call it an unfair advantage ;)

Edit: Haha no worries Holo, I was kidding - it's pretty honorable you actually reported it.

The demo needs to be placed in the pball/demos folder, and the ss's should just be able to be viewed through your standard picture editor.

What? Also, off topic, but I'm hopping one of you knoledegable people can help me here. Does everyone have to wait 730 hours to repeat a karma posting?

Yes we all need to wait 730 hours so the karma doesn't get abused. Also, follow these steps to get the demo to work.

1. Download it to your desktop (for simplicity)
2. open your paintball folder
3. open the subfolder pball, then demos
4. transfer the .dm2 file to the demos folder (or make on if needed)
5. open digital paintball
6. Hit play, then play recorded demo
7. watch it, and then thank me for helping you learn something new.
