New Map:Labrynth (beta)

Well I just developed a map called labrynth it is basicly a giant maze. Well here you go here are some screenshots and the map download.

There are 2 large problems with this map:
The same leaf texture gets very irritating very quickly.
The map itself is too large.

Also, you need to add lights and do a final compile, otherwise the light is the same brightness everywhere.

My suggestions:
Cut down the maze height so it isn't so imposing.
Change the sky to pbsky3, so it is set at night.
Make the maze a bit smaller.
Put some lights to make good atmospheric lighting effects.

ViciouZ 1st off the maze is only three times the height of a person about. 2nd what am I supposed to do change the texture every now and then I think that would look pretty weird. 3rd that is a final compile the reason the screen shots arent the best is because I had to make them GIF instead of bmp. I like the night idea though.

Sorry about being incredibly blunt. What I meant was that the maze, despite being only 3 times taller than a player, still seems rather tall to me.

And also, I'm sorry, that is a final compile, but my monitors contrast is wayyyyyyyy too high.

SkateR last time I checked there wasn't many maze maps.
ViciouZ apology accepted the height thing may be because of the sky.

My suggestion would be to change the ground texture to dirt or something. Having allllllll green everywhere makes me want to throwup in the middle of your maze.

I havent downloaded the map but from the pics I say that it needs some open rooms. like a room with a fountain, or a pond. That way you can change the monotomous grass texture and let people know where they might be.

That would work it out real well because then you could play this map on 1-flag as well as whatever else you have planned.

This map wont play well at all... A maze map is not for pubs or matchs, its for fun with your friends.
But it might be a good idea, but the leaf texture isnt the right one for this map. try another one.

make some misted tunnels for the people more knowledgable of the map. Or make an underground passage that skips part of the maze.

or allow it so you can thro nades over the wall so if you hear someone on the other side of the wall you can possibly get lucky and kill him

KiLo good idea i'll give that a try Spook I like the misted part how would I do that? Nightryder that is a pretty good idea and I was thinking of making a spot where you can get on top of the walls probably hard to get to though.

there's a flag for it... just hit S and apply it to the brush. Have fun with it, and make it unique.
