:D

I guess I do have to work on resizing them a lot.  I still wish he had bigger character models.  Jitspoe himself has said that our crouching models are some of the smallest hit boxes around.  I really hope some cool maps are made with this stuff and our community picks up.  Maybe once some of the great texture makers in our community start pitching in, people will say, 'Is that mod for Half-Life 2?'

I can't make the fence thicker... it's just a texture with an alpha channel.  What I need is for someone to model it.

I could model it. But there is one problem: my md2 exporter (form Blender) doesn't want to work. I'll have to find another way to convert it or make it.

You might kill yourself before you finish it. :)

Eww, 400 2x2 brushes? No thanks

k, well here are all the textures I got from school. I would of gotten more, but I got my camera taken away in class. :'(

http://files-upload.com/274825/school.rar.html

about 13 MB.

I really want to go to like a tile store or carpet store and take pictutes of all the textures there. It would be fun to have many different tiles.

Modeling the fence would lead to some really high r_speeds.  You could possibly model parts of the fence, like horizontal bars, to help add a little bit of depth, but the vertical posts I think would need to stay a texture, unless you're doing really small sections of fence in an enclosed area where you can afford the polygons.

Haha, the 56k thing is a warning to the guys with dial-up.  I used to have a 14.4 yeaaaaaars ago and I feel for those guys.
I'll probably put a release out soon, but I got a new job which means less time working on them, but the amount of beautiful textures I have available for me (it's at a hospital) are endless.

Here's a quicky from my cliff work as of late.

*edit - not my rock/ground texture, I got it from this site somewhere - and it's not going in the CTP.

Can we get a more perspective-y view on that texture? It seems... too 3D for it's own good.

?

You and I both know that it flattens when you look at it from above or directly from the side.  An intelligent mapper will factor this in.  In certain cases it will look better than the very flat looking cliffs.

Yeah bro, I think I have something that would look great on that well (is it a well? I haven't checked your reply on the picture request yet) in Babylon.  I actually made these cliffs after looking at a screeny of someone else's map.

Perhaps an alternative to barrels?  Minor tweaks still need to be made, what do you guys think?

It would be cool if each tire would be a bit off of the others. At the moment, they look too... unrealistic.

You mean like this, correct?
(It's the image I made the texture from)
