I first had a look at the picture and thought, WOW, now THAT looks cool, but then I noticed it's a real picture :'(

Sorry, not that good :P

But what you're talking about could be done in BSP.  All you would do is make several smaller cylinders (each cylinder about the same size as a tire) all stacked atop one another  and then move them around as you would like.

Does that current texture consists of all 3 tires?

That one does, I think I should make three  more of them split up.

You could rotate the brush, and shrink it to make it one tire.

I'm making separate '1 tire' textures.
Now I just have to make rimmed and non rimmed textures.

Hm, the tires would almost have to be modeled to get the realistic curves on them.

Wow,
Talk about a surprise.
I leave to Costa Rica, get my hands on an iBook, and now I have a developer tag? Maybe I should leave more often...

I had taken the most stunning textures in Chicago, Tulsa, Atlanta, and their respective airports.  I had almost 1,000 hi-resolution photos on my camera.  Before it was stolen.

The good news is I bought an SD card and I'm using my girlfriend's 3.2 MP.

I've got lots of cool textures, and you guys will love the cool stuff that can be done with them.
But I'm still very bummed about losing the pictures & camera...

Anyway,
Cheers,
y00tz

Stolen in chicago? I was just at midway airport in chicago on saturday, cops were chasing down some idiot who tried to steal a purse haha.  You probably went to O'hare or loius though right?

Man, that sucks about the camera.  I don't think "bummed" would cover it if my camera (and photos) were stolen.  Did you happen to save the S/N somewhere so you could report it?

Nope - not that smart :P.  PowerShot 620. Silver... Only description I have of it :P... I wanted to get a DLSR anyway :P

I flew from Springfield Regional into O'Hare, then O'hare to Tulsa, Tulsa to Atlanta.  I had it in my carry-on when I boarded my flight to Atlanta, but the flight attendant was a pushy little woman who insisted that I couldn't hold my carry-on in my lap.  Anyway, fell asleep, and the lady put it in the overhead compartment.  She said it fell in the aisle while she was trying to do meal service, anyway, no camera when I awoke.

It happens.

stuff awaits you below
*end of edit*

Anyway, I'm back and I'm putting 300 textures through Photoshop over the next couple of days, all from Costa Rica.  I've also gotten better at touching up my early textures and making new ones.  Anyway I'll start posting some shots as they come through.  This first one is just a quicky from a building below the hotel.

y00tz

Second - tiles.  I took lots of tile pics in Costa Rica, I think you guys will enjoy it.

3rd & 4th are grass textures I made to look like the old grass textures that DP uses.  Comes in two shades.
