If you want to play as "atmay$", you will need to have "atmay" registered.  Still want me to delete it?

wow, does that mean I could play with "Steven", although I only registered "St"?  And how soon would that become invalid? when someone registered "Steven" or already when someone registered "Ste" ?

No, but you could play with St#$%^#@^@#$@& if you registered with "st".  Only alphanumerics are registered.

I don't think special characters matter. From what I understand, the system only looks at alphanumerics.

The name you use is independant of your login.  The reason for this is that you can have multiple names registered, clan tags, etc.

So if you had name1 - name3 registered and a clan with the tag [tag], you could log in under "name1", but play as any of the following:
name1
name2
name3
[tag]name1
[tag]name2
[tag]name3

Plus you can add non-alphas and such to your name as well, like:
-*[name1]*-

or whatever else you want to throw in there.  Almost an infinite number of possibilities.

Why can everybody not extinguish his own names itself?
This would be better around something, than to write in the forum "JITSPOE PLS DELETE MY NAME".

I think there should be an automatic system, but like I said, only 1-2 names added/changed a month.

how long until jit changes databases and we have to redo all this stuff? and what happens if some kid decides to be "funny" and takes a name someone had registered on the old database before they have a chance to register it on the new one? same with clans, bcuz some kid has been talking about taking my clan name when the new system kicks in.
