Anubis!?!??!?!

OMG I just started to play "Anubis" on the "speed" server, and it's so awsome. It's by far the most intense map I have ever seen. And if anyone knows how to do the fire then please tell me. To me it seemed like it had something to do with the "light" entity. Was it a texture or suface property that is not commenly used? Also, I was wondering how to shade maps, is it in the Final copile or do you have to put in something?

The fire texture and scripts were released with b.18 i believe.

Copy this one into your BSP folder. It has nothing to do with light-entities.

The shadows come with the light, also with the final compile. You can angle the sun in the worldspawn for better/more nice shadows (there are also some other options for the sun). If you click for the help of the worldspawn, you will find this:
When using ArghRad (http://www.planetquake.com/arghrad/)
you can use a sun to light maps with sky.
These settings work well with the riverscape1 sky:
"_sun_angle" "200 -30"
"_sun_diffuse" "60"
"_sun_ambient" "30"
"_sun_light" "250"

What is ArghRad for? I've seen it during the compiles, but I don't know what it is. And also, riverscape1? Is that the value? Thanks for the map, and the other stuff.

So now I've tested it and I see this,, is there something wrong?

Did you do final compile? It doesn't look like.

If you don't have build018, copy this into your paintball folder (but if you have played this map on a server, you normaly have all these things downloaded):

Looks like the trans flags aren't set on some of the flame textures, for whatever reason.

I didn't final compile so I'll try it tonight when I get home. What is ArghRad for? I've seen it during the compiles, but I don't know what it is. And also, riverscape1? Is that the value?

Arghrad is for the lighting.
Riverscape1 is a sky (the one used in siegecastle).
