Someone know how i can modify the word "Kills" in the hud for another? example "Eliminations"...

You need to modify the file cl_hud.c on the source code.

Ok, thanks, but someone can talk to me how i compile the source code??? i dont know.... and i want to modify the HUD to play in LAN game, i dont want to connect in servers... someone help me, how can i compile the source code? thanks

First, you need Visual C++ in order to compile. You can use lcc or something else but takes longer to setup.

cause i want to modify some terminology in the game, like "Kills"... i just modified the HUD numbers, cause thye look like blood...

If you do it, you'll probably get global banned. It's not a big deal, and not worth doing.

I dont think he'll get global banned for 2 reasons: It wouldnt give him an unfair advantage over other players, and as far as I know, there is no way to find if a person is connecting with a modified client.

I do believe that build 18 has some extra cheat-detecting stuff thrown it.

Very true. In fact I got a warning about modified content, then I realized that my method for making my "Ice Man" work could be considered 'cheating', somehow.

1. Get source code
2. Get VS6
3. Open project file
4. Make changes
5. Compile

It's really not something you should be doing, though. Especially for something as non-critical as the word 'kill'.
