How To: Bind your name easier

Okay, since I got like 30 pm's how to do this.  Thought i'd explain it for all of you that don't know it.  (If there's an easier way tell me)

1. Open up digital paintball 2.

2. Hit the Console button ` or ~.

3. Type menu_setup funname in the console if you want to create a funname that you'd like to bind.  Or, just type name in console followed by the name you'd like.

Now after you've made your name exit the menu_setup funname or whatever you're in, and type name in console, it should show up with the name you just made for yourself.

4. Seeing that you're still in the console type.

alias wordorletterhere name $name

EX: If I had 2 names and wanted to switch between them very quickly I would do this.

Make my name JiGSaW.

Then type in the console

alias jigsaw name $name

Then everytime i'd type jigsaw in the console my name would change to JiGSaW.

Simple.  Right?

You could just do:

bind <key> name <your name>

and that also works with funname.

Yeah I know it does, but it still takes awhile to go out of dp and whatnot just to go into config and get all that.

Actually, you can type that in the console too.

I like Jigsaw's way because I don't like to have a lot of keys bound.. in case I hit something on accident.  Thanks for this Jigsaw.

I don't use funname, except for my clan, and for that one i just saved it as its own config. Anyways, help these people with awesome funname.

= Man, back when I did bind a quit key i always binded it far away from all the other keys that i used frequently.

thats near the enter key so you should probably change to something like the f´s.

It's 'menu setup_funname'.

I just played pbcup like 3 minutes ago and sat there in observer for like a minute or so and typed join r.  Then left the server because I was pissed, but then I remembered its purple and blue.

I always just type "join a" to auto-join.

Same Jits couldn't you just look at the scores though Jigsaw?
