Wow I love 3000GT's.  I used to have a Dodge Stealth,  I regret selling it, but I was moving to Seattle and I needed something a little more green.  Nice cars, but maybe you need a better digital camera?  :P

Alright here is a new picture, Re-routed the turbo line's. Instead of using an atmospheric blow-off valve, We re ran the tubing to come out of the blow off valve and ran it into the air intake, It boosted so hard it blew the vacuum lines off of the intake and off most the engine, It really woke the engine up. It ran stock at 7lbs, Re-Ran it now its boosting 14lbs.  But there is also a major problem. When it hits the boost and comes off the boost it throws White smoke everywhere, And being this the first turbo car I have worked on and drove I really don't know what it could be. Unless the rings are bad. Any idea's throw them in here.

could be bad rings or it can be running lean. since you upped the boost from stock you may need to upgrade your fuel system as well. i wouldn't run it hard until you find out what exactly is wrong with it or it could be pretty bad. and maybe consider a tune just to make sure nothing goes wrong in the future. good luck and be careful mitsubishi is tricky and so are turboed cars.

The air/fuel gauge is always lean, Until it boosts then there is 1 line in stoich and another in rich. I don't get it.

My cousin has a 73 Chevy Nova (Burnt Orange) and rebuilt the engine he put a 404 in it. We were driving by this 3000GT with the sound system going and the weed whacker exhaust and we pulled up to a light. He said "lets see what you got" and we started to laugh and he said "Whats so funny" and he rev'd his engine. We just sat there and when the light turned green we just took off i really didn't know how fast we were going his speedometer goes to 120 and it was just bouncing off.

The white smoke you see is blow-by.  Not really a bad thing.  Your turbo is making more air than the engine can consume so when you take your foot out of it, it pressurises everything, sometimes the crankcase too.

You should hear my diesel.... 35+ pounds.  WHen I take my foot out of it, the turbo chirps.  Diesel's cant run blow off valve since we don't have throttle bodies.

Derek your commando is slow.

Also my other next door neighbor has a 2006 f350 duly and he can tow a 4 place trailer with 4 snowmobiles in it and can still get the 4 tires to spin.
Its nasty!!!

Ty Knack that was really appreciated, So more or less just take the boost down? Moe this thing will smoke that 404. 3000gt vr-4's are able to run 12.2's stock with the right tuning, This one has upgraded turbo's a upgraded ECU chip, and being a 5sp it red lines and 7800rpm. It would run all over that 404.  ;D

madman i am pretty sure any v8 is capable of running low 10s to high 9s on motor alone. pretty sure that 404 is not stock and runs pretty good. i know you are excited about your new car but dont get ahead of yourself. you got the all wheel drive so you have the launch but youd need alot of power to keep the lead or even pull away.
