Author Topic: bsp/22 error (Read 10480 times)

everytime i start bsp i get and error couldn't find [c\bsp\pball2\whatever.pak]... then it says after i select ok [c\bsp\pball2\whatever.pak] is not a valid .pak file, choose another file... then i say ok then it gives me a window that says find pak file and it allows me to search for it [but where?] and if i close it it gives me another window like the last but it says where are .qc files
c\bsppball2\entity\pb2ents-b15.c? [i can't find that either] i close that and the bsp loads up

btw my comp's keyboard is messed up so i can't type some keys so i had to improvise with the stuff above

also it runs in open-gl if that helps

oh i forgot i cant load any textures after that.....

Jake,

Be sure to 'modify' your original post instead of double posting.

Let's begin by the obvious, have you tried *re-downloading* AND *re-installing* BSP?
I recommend you begin there.

Post back or PM if you have tried this or if you need any help.

ohhhhh you can modify your post..... and yes i have already done that come to think of it maybe there is a way to download those missing files? just a thought

Where did you download BSP from? This site?

no i have an external hard drive with 180 gigs so i kept it in that file [its f] oh and i extracted it to f\bsp_pb2_build016c\bsp

Okay, I think we're getting close.

Did you open f:\bsp\pball2\game.ini and replace all the "c:" stuff with "f:"?

i hope you noticed it was in an external hard drive so it would be f not c and no its not in games its in F\[jakes]\paintball2... and after i ran it it didn't help so my idea is you post your files that im missing [the ones in the first post] and i download them

Relax, you have them. Are they the same errors as above?
Also, I asked if it was in C: because if it's not, we have more work to do.

What is the directory of your bsp?
Like, the folder your bsp.exe is in, what directory is that?
